Katie Lydon Interiors, a full-service, high-end downtown NYC residential interior design firm, is seeking a full-time associate interior designer/associate project manager.
Primary responsibilities will include:
• Sourcing ideas for furnishings, fabrics, and other decorative elements for residential interior design projects
• Gathering quotes from vendors and contractors
• Meeting with clients alongside the principal designer
• Writing client estimates and vendor purchase orders in Studio Designer
• Placing and tracking orders and managing custom orders; lots of vendor communication
• Scheduling and overseeing deliveries and installations in clients' homes
• Managing the organization and logistics of projects, including tracking client budgets, purchases, and delivery/installation schedules
• Communicating with contractors and architects
The associate project manager will manage their own projects as well as assist senior project managers. The right candidate has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and stay on top of a lot of details for multiple projects at once. There is a great deal of client and vendor interaction in this job. Excellent organization skills are a must.
Proficiency in CAD and Excel are required. At least two years of interior design experience is preferred, as we are a small studio and the ability to hit the ground running is important.
